Getting a Library Card

Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in Rochester, Rochester Hills, or Oakland Township may apply for a library card at the Information Desk or online. Students who live on campus at Oakland University and Rochester College are also eligible. Proof of residency or employment and an application (signed by a parent or guardian if the applicant is under 18 years old) are required.

Click here to Apply for a Library Card online.

The Rochester Hills Public Library participates in reciprocal borrowing agreements with many other libraries. Libraries that will accept your RHPL card include members of The Library Network and other Michicard libraries.

Outdoor return chutes are located near the drive-up window on the south side of the building. These chutes may be used at any time of the day or night.

Indoor return chutes are located near the south entrance just before the circular lobby.
