Marriage Returns for Oakland County 1836 –1884
Contains over 2700 marriage returns which are on file at the Oakland County courthouse. Alphabetical arrangement. Brides are listed under maiden name as well as name by a previous marriage, with  reference to name of groom. Complete information is given under  groom’s name. Amount of data varies, but usually provides names of couple, age, residence, date and place of marriage, person officiating, and witnesses. Later records add birthplaces of couple and groom’s occupation. Soft cover – 8½ x 11" – 225 pages.
