The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library will hold their Spring Used Book Sale Wednesday, May 15th through Sunday, May 19th in the library's Multipurpose Room. The Multipurpose Room will be filled with approximately 30,000 gently-used books in all categories. In addition to  some specially priced higher quality books, most hardcover, large softcover and trade paperbacks are $1. Children's books and paperbacks are $.50. DVDs, books on CD, and VHS tapes are also for sale.

Pre-Sale for Friends members only is Wednesday, 5:30-8:00 p.m.
(Memberships are sold at the door.)
General Sale is Thursday, 10:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:00-4:30 p.m.
Saturday, 10:00-4:30 p.m., $5 Bag Sale is Sunday, 1:30-4:30 p.m.

There's so much international news it's difficult to keep up, but the basic facts are right at your fingertips. The Worldmark Encyclopedia of the Nations, available online from the library, presents easy-to-understand information on 194 countries and dependencies from around the world. Entries cover topics from banking and securities to climate, from government data to demographic statistics in articles that range from 6 to 42 pages. Through the TLN Tickets & More program RHPL library patrons can purchase discounted admission tickets to the Detroit Zoo, save on discounted memberships, and dining. You can even purchase a pre-paid parking voucher.
