New Book Clubs at RHPL

In addition to Books on Tap, Between the Lines and Reading Rainbow, we have two (!!) new RHPL Book Clubs coming this Fall! Do you like to read different genres? Or is there a specific genre you are really into? Then check out  Once Upon a Genre: a Genre Book Club which rotates topics each month. The Once Upon a Genres are: Romance, Thriller/Mystery, Science Fiction, Historical Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, Adult Graphic Novel and Classic Literature. 

For the month of September, the Genre book club will start with a Romance novel, First Time Caller by B.K. Borison. In October- the genre is thriller/mystery we will be discussing Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth. For the month of November- the genre will be Science Fiction and the book pick is Chilling effect by Vallerie Valdes.The rotation will continue in January and February with the genres Historical Fiction and Horror. Participants can sign up for every genre book club or join the genre of their choice! Registration is required and there is limited space available. 

Do you prefer to read true stories and non-fiction titles? Then you will want to join our second, new RHPL Book Club, which is True Story: A nonfiction Book Discussion. The Book Discussion meets quarterly and the Fall pick is The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder by David Grann. The Book Club will meet on Saturday, October 10, at 12 p.m by the Fireplace Area of the Second Floor. Registration is Required.
