March Book Madness 2026

Basketball fans aren’t the only ones who can join in the March Madness fun! March Book Madness at RHPL is a chance for young book lovers to shine.

Our four brackets include the most popular books at RHPL that were published last year. Kids and tweens can either fill out a bracket with the books they think will win each round or fill out weekly voting sheets on which books they think are the best (or both!).

Will there be any shocking upsets? Whose brackets will get busted? Will the favorites coast to victory? You decide!

See the full book lists here:

Bracket Competition

If you’d like to compete in our bracket competition, please turn in your fully-completed bracket(s) to the librarian at the youth desk by Sunday, March 8. At the end of the month, whoever had the most accurate bracket will win a prize!

  • Mon 3/2–Sun 3/8: Turn in your fully-completed bracket(s) to the librarian at the youth desk.

  • Mon 4/6–Sun 4/12: Bracket competition winners are notified and receive their prize!

Weekly Voting

Each week, vote on which books you think are the best. Your vote will help decide which books advance to the next round!

You can vote either online or on paper. If you’d like to vote online, you can vote at the links below. If you’d like to vote on paper, you can print out the weekly voting sheets at the links below or pick them up at the youth desk, and then please turn in your completed voting sheet(s) to the librarian at the youth desk. (You don’t need to have read the books to vote, but it’s even more fun if you do so!)

Click the links below to see the online and print versions of each week’s voting sheets:

  • Mon 3/9–Sun 3/15: First Round (pick 8 winners from 16 books)
