Every day, staff members in the Circulation Department process nearly 2000 items. As you can imagine, we see quite a few forgotten bookmarks, actual and a little more unorthodox.

RHPL’s Outreach Services partners with five senior communities to make library materials more accessible. The library’s partners house the mini-branches, while RHPL provides the materials that patrons can check out. The mini-branches’ collections are selected and maintained by Outreach Services, with new books delivered each week.

Rochester Hills Public Library was announced as a finalist in the Clarivate Library Innovation Awards, an annual program designed to recognize and support innovation in academic, national, and public libraries worldwide, for the design of its Kids Catalog.

For the past twenty years, the bookmobile has provided books of all genres to foster literacy in the RHPL service area.

Whether you're drawn to witty romantic comedies, timeless classics, or steamy reads that keep you turning pages late into the night, Rochester Hills Public Library has a love story just for you.

The outreach room provides adult large print reading materials, typically used by senior adults, a selection of magnifiers, and MYLE Kits. But we also provide materials and services to every other age group through our “outreach”. Outreach’s goal is to reach any group that may need assistance in using the library.

RHPL strives to meet the needs of everyone in the community and to support those who need it.
