A Day in the Life of the Blue Bus Driver

What exactly is Outreach?
The outreach room provides adult large print reading materials, typically used by senior adults, a selection of magnifiers, and MYLE Kits. But we also provide materials and services to every other age group through our “outreach”. Outreach’s goal is to reach any group that may need assistance in using the library.

Outreach Lobby Stops: Safety and Community for Senior Patrons
BoB (Books on Board), RHPL’s mini bookmobile, visits seven senior residences weekly throughout our service community. Outreach staff bring library services into the senior residences via book carts and laptops. This personalized interior service is known as a lobby stop.
